Blessings All,
As I continue my postings to recognize the strong and amazing women who I have met in the course of my peace work, I would like to introduce you all to another bright spirit who has had huge impact on the future.
Today I would like to honor my friend, Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswati.
I met Sadhvi a number of years ago on a peace mission to India, and have since had the wonderful opportunity to work with her numerous times in multiple countries.

Sadhvi was born and raised in the United States. She graduated from Stanford University and then went on to study for her Ph.D. In 1998, she made a vacation journey to Rishikesh India and met Puja Swami Chidanand Saraswati and her life changed drastically.

Sadhvi was deeply moved by what she saw in India and as a result, she decided to dedicate her life toward service to humanity right then and there! In 2000, Sadhvi took vows to become a Sanya, and since that time, every waking day has been directed toward shaping a better world and a safer planet.

Over the course of many years since, Sadhvi has worked diligently to find ways to serve the world, and as a result she established the Divine Shakti Foundation. The Divine Shakti Foundation is dedicated toward educating and empowering women in third world countries and toward protecting children at risk. Her project was highly successful, and many women and children literally owe her their lives.

In addition to establishing the Foundation, Sadhvi serves as Secretary General of the Global Interfaith WASH Alliance, and has played leading roles in many other projects and partnerships. She has spoken on peace and protecting the environment and on interfaith at the United Nations.
Today I honor Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswati. You are my hero!
